Dr Phil Kavanagh is an experienced clinical psychologist and academic. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours), Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology, and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, NZ. He is a registered Clinical Psychologist in both Australia and New Zealand, and a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.

Phil’s professional clinical experiences have been varied and diverse, covering university settings, hospital settings, residential treatment facilities, clinical research projects, and clinical practice. He has worked in government organisations, non-government organisations, and privately.  

Phil predominately uses cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) as his main therapeutic modality and has worked with individuals across the life span on the treatment of various mental health difficulties including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, bipolar disorder, sexual abuse, personality disorders.

Phil currently works with adolescents (16+) and adults.
